Engineers at GM's battery test facilities have developed a new computer algorithm to accelerate durability testing of the advanced lithium-ion batteries needed to power the Chevrolet Volt for up to 40 miles (64 km) of electric-only driving.

The eagerly anticipated 2009 CTS-V, Cadillac's 550-hp expression of ultimate performance and luxury, hits the streets this coming fall. However, the first sale occurred in New York City, where the first CTS-V earned a winning bid of $75,000 at a special charity auction benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
